Bulk-upload content

Upload many questions at once as a spreadsheet, or many campaign items at once as JSON. There is no bulk upload for maps — build those one at a time in the MAPS tab.

  1. Open your dimension, go to the QUESTIONS tab, and click BULK UPLOAD.
  2. Download the template — a spreadsheet whose Domain, Tier, Subtopic, Question Type, AI Relevance and Bloom’s Level columns are dropdowns of the platform’s values, so a typo can’t slip through at data-entry time. Your own domains and subtopics aren’t in the dropdowns, so add questions for those one at a time with + ADD QUESTION instead.
  3. Fill in up to 200 rows, one question per row, using the columns: Domain, Tier, Subtopic, Prompt, Correct Answer, Distractor 1–3, Question Type, AI Relevance, Bloom’s Level, Explanation (Correct), Explanation (Distractor 1–3), and an optional comma-separated Tags column. Rows after the 200th are ignored.
  4. Upload the filled-in file. If the file would take you over your question limit, the whole upload is refused — nothing is saved.
  5. Each row is checked independently against the same rules as a single question (Write questions that pass validation), including duplicate-prompt checks against the platform bank, your dimension’s own questions, and earlier rows in the same file. Rows that pass are saved and go live immediately; rows that fail are reported with the reason and are not saved — you don’t lose the rows that passed.

Acts, missions, decisions, decision pools and decision effects each have their own UPLOAD JSON button, in the CAMPAIGN tab’s matching sub-tab (ACTS, MISSIONS, DECISIONS, POOLS, EFFECTS).

  1. Open the CAMPAIGN tab and pick the sub-tab for the content type you’re uploading.
  2. Click UPLOAD JSON.
  3. Provide a JSON array of records — choose a .json file, or paste the array directly.
  4. Upload it. This is all-or-nothing: if any record in the array is invalid, nothing is saved. Fix the reported records and upload the whole array again.

See the format for each content type: Build missions and acts, Write decisions and decision pools.
