Set up AI-assisted content
AI generation needs Pro, or, for an organisation’s dimension, a Team or Enterprise plan. It uses your own provider key and your own billing — Clash-IT doesn’t supply one.
- Open your dimension’s SETTINGS tab.
- Under AI GENERATION → PROVIDER KEYS, pick a provider (anthropic, openai, gemini or openrouter), paste your API key, and check I own this key and accept billing for its usage.
- Click ADD KEY. Only the key’s last four characters are ever shown again; see Security and data handling for how it’s stored. To replace a provider’s key, click ROTATE on it instead of removing and re-adding — paste the new key, re-check the attestation, and click ROTATE KEY.
- Toggle Enable AI generation on, then SAVE.
Set a spend cap
Section titled “Set a spend cap”Still under AI GENERATION:
- Daily token budget — the day’s spending limit, in tokens (1,000 minimum).
- Pool ceiling / cell — the most AI items generated ahead of time for one domain/tier/mode combination (1 to 200).
- Serve mode — Pooled serves from what’s already generated; Fresh (solo only) generates live during a solo match instead, falling back to the regular bank if that doesn’t finish within 8 seconds.
- At the cap — what happens once the daily budget is spent: Pause silently, Pause and notify, or Fall back to the bank.
- Kill switch — stops AI generation for this dimension immediately, overriding everything else above.
The spend meter above these settings shows today’s and this month’s token use and estimated cost. At 80% of the daily budget it turns into a warning; at the cap, generation pauses and a RESUME button appears to lift it.
Review and promote generated content
Section titled “Review and promote generated content”Every AI-generated question or decision is marked AI-generated in play, and players can mark one 👍 or 👎. Anything with at least one 👍 appears under NOMINATED FOR PROMOTION in the AI panel — click Promote to keep it in your dimension’s content for good; it stays labelled AI-generated either way.
