Glossary
One line per term, alphabetical. Each links to the page that explains it in full.
- Ability — a unit action beyond moving or attacking, with its own cost and effect.
- Account — guest, registered, or Pro (see Plan); what you can do differs by kind.
- Achievement — a badge unlocked once, through cumulative play.
- Action point (AP) — the budget a unit spends each turn to move or act.
- AI-assisted content — content generated using a provider key you, or your dimension, supply.
- Base — a player’s HQ on the board.
- Bits — the currency you earn through play and spend in the shop; there’s no way to buy it with real money.
- Brain Power (BP) — the in-match resource that pays for abilities and attacks.
- Challenge — a goal generated fresh each day, that rewards XP when completed.
- Class — a unit’s archetype, one per domain.
- Combat — the question exchange that decides whether an attack lands.
- Custom unit — a unit a dimension’s owner builds by combining abilities within a point budget.
- Dimension — the content space a match draws its questions, units and missions from.
- Domain — one of the platform’s ten skill categories; a dimension can define its own.
- HQ danger — the damage and harder questions a unit takes for standing near an enemy base.
- Invite code — the code an org admin shares so someone can join the organisation.
- League — a seasonal skill bracket, within your dimension, that unlocks once you reach a level threshold.
- Member — a regular member of an organisation, without admin or owner permissions.
- Mission — one playable encounter inside the single-player campaign.
- Multiplayer — a live match with other players in a room.
- Organisation (org) — a team account that can own dimensions and manage members.
- Plan — Free, Pro, Team or Enterprise; each unlocks different grants.
- Point of interest (POI) — a capturable hex that grants its controller a bonus.
- Question — the prompt a unit must answer to move or fight, tagged with a domain and a tier.
- Quota — a cap on how much content, like questions or custom units, you can create.
- Rank — a career-themed title your level maps to.
- Role — what an organisation member can do: owner, admin or member.
- Shop — where you spend Bits on cosmetics.
- Single player — playing alone: a skirmish against the AI, or the story campaign.
- Skill Passport — your private, per-domain competency profile, built from your answer history.
- Squad — a team you join inside a multiplayer room.
- Streak — your count of consecutive days played.
- Surge — a unit’s expertise counter, raised by correct answers, that boosts Brain Power earned and, at its highest level, adds attack damage.
- Tier — a question’s difficulty band, set mainly by the hex’s elevation and eased for your unit’s own domain and your first few questions.
- Unit — a player’s deployable piece on the hex board.
- Validation — the automatic check a question must pass before it can be used in a match.
- XP — experience points, earned from match results and completed challenges, that raise your level.
